Jim Ziegler, A.I.A. Vice President, Real Estate and Structured Finance

Jim applies knowledge of real estate economics and fixed income debt instruments in evaluating commercial mortgage investment proposals within the private sector. He negotiates the terms of the investment and facilitates their timely funding. This front-line involvement with real estate brings a unique perspective to the Advantus Mortgage Research Team. Before joining Advantus in 1997, Jim practiced architecture as a licensed architect. He also has land development experience, having orchestrated the planning and feasibility of a large mixed-use development and coordinated architectural and land planning issues.
